I’ve always loved to tinker in the kitchen.  I don’t have any formal training but cooking and baking are passions.  I’ve never quite been able to follow a recipe exactly as written.  When people ask for a copy of the recipe I used, I usually say “well … here’s the recipe I started with … and here are all the modifications I made”.  Life is unpredictable – and it turns out that both of our kids have multiple food allergies.  Suddenly, tinkering with recipes became essential so that the kids can have “safe” versions of foods to eat.  This blog is an effort to capture the notes scribbled across our favorite recipes, as well as the alterations bouncing about in my head. All of the recipes will be egg and dairy-free, but not all are vegan.
